I don't know why, but I'm such a sucker for scenes where Spike calls Buffy. Maybe because it's such a 'normal' thing to do in a magic-filled world and, except for that once, never how they communicated (that we saw).

Nice that Joyce didn't have to go through being kidnapped here. Although, it's got me wondering if being rescued might have helped her appreciate what Buffy does more?

I love Spike being in denial. And then still knowing he can't be 'just friends' with Buffy.

Yeah, I'm not sure Buffy quite knows what she means when she offers to be friends with benefits. And Spike is right that she would not be happy with that. It's not who she is. It's not who Spike is, either, despite being the big bad evil vampire.

Great sequel!

I'm glad the Cruciamentum was less of an ordeal for Buffy and Joyce in this version of events!

I love the "benefits" exchanges between Buffy and Spike (and Giles) in this story, those were fun. And yeah, I'm sure there were some benefits for Spike too :-)
