I do love this beginning completely! Love the imagery and the fact that you started with that extra stupid situation they made up in the comic-verse-relationship. I fully expect you to make that particular blunder vanish from the face of the earth.
On one side, I want this to be long so there's more to enjoy, on the other, I want to read it all, right now!

Great start and amazing cliffhanger! That last line really packed a punch. Another favourite was the scene with the psychic. Also, Ethan!! YAY!!! (So glad he survived in your version of the post-show future.)
