It's a really nice touch that Buffy is still basically herself, even having gone through such a horrible experience. She's still resourceful and able to rebound from bad situations, and Spike is typically adaptable despite his bluster and impatience. I liked the way they bootstrapped themselves out of despair in this scene, figuring out that they can work together to escape and return to get out from under Angelus permanently. The suggested involvement of the scoobies adds a tasty element. I would love to read more, should the muse visit and time permit :) Thank you for sharing this.
