I love your one word last lines: "inconceivable!"

The alliteration is inspired:
"Buffy buys brain bleach."

I especially admire the found haikus!

Can't wait for the final installments -- this has been a terrific episode recap!

Thank you! I'm so glad you've enjoyed these. I'm always ridiculously excited to find a five-syllable word to add to the list. (Yep, there's a list. Dork alert!) I just re-watched The Princess Bride and had to work really hard to not just go ahead and say "Inconthievable!" ;)

They couldn’t tell her
from an android concubine?

Maybe death from embarrassment is her real gift?

Inconceivable!

Why can I never hear this word without Wallace Shawn uttering it in my brain?

I love each of the mini-quotes here so much. Hard to improve on the original, eh?

BTW, my kid is reading a book wherein the heroes fight off the forces of darkness with 13-letter words. She's collecting them. Inconceivable goes in the file.

Bwahaa! Funny girl.

Caught that, did you? I think that the original word was something like "unfathomable," but then I re-watched The Princess Bride over the weekend with Miss Z and couldn't resist. I even posted it with "Incontheivable!" for about three seconds but then chickened out and fixed it.

Ooh, title, please? Those sound like my kind of heroes. I should check my five-syllable word list, b/c I'll bet there are some 13-letter words lurking in there. Like "insubordinate!"

Turns out "embarrassment" fits the bill, as well!

The 13-letter weapon books are part of a series by Scott Westerfeld (of Uglies fame) called Midnighters. The first one is called The Secret Hour and there are at least 3 in the series, so far. I haven't read them, but McDiva reads me the funny parts in an effort to avoid "lights out".

Hey, you'd have to blind to live with Spike and not compile at least a few observations about his physique. ;)

Uh-huh. Those are the kind of innocent observations that any roommate would make! ;)

Sooo discouraging.

That is pretty sad if you think about it, clearly her "friends" don't pay a lot of attention to her.

Buffy never gets enough credit for her brain, and it really irritates me. I mean, quips of that caliber are clearly an indicator of a high-functioning intellect.
