Huh. That was very interesting. Your ideas are certainly great, and I do so love a good 'Donna isn't screwed over' story! XD One note; I found the use of italics very distracting, in a kind of Stan Lee-esque way. So it mightn't go amiss to cut back on that use a bit. But overall, great little tale. 8)

I'm normally not that bad about italics, but writing Tennant-as-Ten makes it difficult to avoid them, especially when he's all I AM SHOUTY TIME LORD RAWR. ;)

Glad you liked it otherwise. :)

That's fucking brilliant. Best ending ever, totally unexpected and well written. You got all the characters to a T.

I'm usually horrible at keeping secrets in my stories, so I'm glad to hear the ending to this one surprised you. :)

Yeah, I mean I knew it would be Davros, but the ingenuity of the name escaped me. Plus, the whole, shouting at Donna to get her to wake up was well played too.

This is brilliant. Really. I did not see that ending coming, at all. I love the abrupt switch in point of view, and can feel how truly disturbing and violating it was for him. I just loved all the character moments, especially the Doctor finally telling all the companions just how much he loves them. That was wonderful. And Davros calling Jack an "ABOMINATION" made me laugh out loud.

and YES The Abyss!! I thought of that when reading that scene. Fabulous.

The longer it took me to finish part two, the more I worried that everyone was going to guess how it ended, so that's really good to hear. And yes, character moments are like porn for me (sometimes literally, as in the case of my PWP fics). It helps that I am totally a Doctor/companion multi-shipper. :)

And I still love that scene in The Abyss, even though South Park skewered it so perfectly. ;)

It's easier to restrain myself when I'm doing quieter dialogue, but when it's big shouty action scenes, my inner Stan Lee has a hard time resisting the italics and caps. :)

Originally, I only had the "Dave Ross" ending, and the Doctor/Donna/Doctor solution, but this thing snowballed to include so much other stuff that I worried it'd be over-stuffed.

No, the epilogue was fine, especially since it illustrated the horror that "Dave Ross" felt at his plight. Rather, I was worried that the shippy bits in the middle - Ten/all his companions, Alan/Sarah Jane - were being self-indulgent.
