I have no explanation for the weirdness of this post. *hangs head*

Right, so. Last Friday, I GOT A HAIRCUT. Like, a real, five-inches-off haircut! MY FIRST HAIRCUT. Unfortunately, it was without my consent, so uh, the shock was so great that I got sick immediately after.

A weirdly long ramble about the event and the resulting cold... )

Mmm. James Marsden. I didn't think much of him until Hairspray; I'm really glad to see him as the rom com leading man he was destined to be. Plus Katherine Heigl! I love her! I should see this movie!

Is catching up on Tsubasa worth it? I don't think I've read since Fai became a vampire. I feel like I've missed too much and I only ever hear about wank re: spoilers.

They are both really good in this movie. Until the denouement, I was almost oblivious to the weirdness of the plot. Their chemistry and good acting makes the movie seem better than it actually is. Although really, the movie does have quite a few redeeming moments. It's just that Katherine Heigl or James Marsden are responsible for them all!

Are you back yet? We should go see it. We could invite Paige and make it a very belated birthday celebration, as well as a last hurrah before we are sucked once more into the vortex of academia.

Re: Tsubasa. That, uh, depends on your tolerance for completely inexplicable and somewhat cracktastical plot twists. Cloned!Syaoran, eyeball theft, and vampire!Fai were only the beginning. Though one of the twists involves seeing Fai as a child, and let me tell you, ickle!Fai is not to be missed, if only for the d'aww factor.

Are you implying that recent events are somehow not pure awesome? Because they totally are. And to think I was wondering how they could possibly resolve the love triangle satisfactorily.

I am back! I appear to have already been sucked into the vortex of academia, but we definitely should go see it some time.

Tsubasa became cracktastic and inexplicable? Wow, what a surprise. It started out with a cracktastic premise, so at least it's living up to its potential. I want to catch up but I don't know. I am trying to read less manga and learn more Japanese.
