I am looking for dark Elfy fics, and read that Sheffield wrote some really good ones. "Spiral path" sound like an amazing fic but I have not been able to find it or any of her other seaquest fics. Help please!
If you do find the Spiral Path you might regret it, as far as I know the fic. was never finished. If my memory serves; - Summary; Lucas' parents divorce and his mother marries a rich cult-leader who owns an island and uses it as the base for the cult. His father sends him in as a spy; Lucas is brain-washed, and that includes quite a lot of sex. (The cult call it love-bombing. I think the girl was called Star but there was a sexually involved group and homsexuality was also expected.)
Tony and Dagwood were, I think, landed to get him out - and the fic. stopped dead at that point.
I read it in the Tales Seaquest Yahoo group in about 1998. It may still be archived there.
Sheffield was/is a very good writer and if you can access "New Moon" and "Blue Moon" it's well worth it, completed O'Neill/Mariah. However, I'm not sure how to describe it but there is a lot about sadism in much of her work.
Oh darn. This story sounds so twisted and therefore right up my alley. I appreciate authors that are brave enough to tackle the more taboo subjects. Its a shame it was never finished. :(
