Haiku at the sea

Deep translucent teal
Giving rise to white crests soon
Gone in salty mists

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. Thank you for the Haiku's. I really like them both. This one is also very moving. I have always disliked the haiku form, perhaps because I am such a "Freeverse Geek" or it's more probable I've read mostly dull ones. This and the two you sent me contradict that greatly. Kudos & Cheers.

My reception is Aug 1st, 4-7pm at Long Beach Playhouse. Come alone or bring someone lovely. Either way, I think you might find my work interesting. The play "Fools" is showing, immediately after my reception. Consider this an invitation. It would be cool to meet you, you crazy knucklehead. Oh...by the way, I took on the Haiku for the discipline, since most of my work is freeverse. It's kindof odd pairing discipline with zen. Peace in the confounding mystery of a single moment perhaps? the Haiku is zen and of course, art form. So freeverse is just as beautiful and profound. Kate
