So is Stargate where Sci Fi actors go to die, or what?

First, with this new season, we have an odd mixture of Andromeda and Farscape cast (and, lest we forget, X-Files), but now I'm seeing lots of Star Trek guest stars, and two in one evening! First Robert Picardo is on SG1, then Colm Meaney on Atlantis?

Honestly, yes, I think it is. Sci-fi TV seems to me to be a kiss of death: Most actors who appear as major characters in popular sci-fi series either wind up stuck in sci-fi or fade completely into obscurity. I don't know if staying in sci-fi is their choice or someone else's. I mean, nobody's clamoring for Robert Picardo movies, but I'm sure the guy could eke out a decent living outside that genre.

Honestly, once a person has played a sentient hologram, how do they expect to top that?

Co-star in a Tomb Raider movie?

Co-star? That's overbilling it a little.

He probably didn't even get to see that side-boob in person.
