Posting from my previously-crippled desktop. Does anyone have a good name for something that's been "reborn"? I skipped over Phoenix, but ended up on Lazarus. That's not really much better. I'll certianly entertain suggestions.

Unexpectedly took a bunch of pics at Rocky this weekend. And here I told myself I wasn't going to do that again so ( Read more... )

Horus or Osiris would be good names

There are a large number of gods who came back too, like Odin (aparently), Osiris, Dioynosis (that's not spelled correctly), Jesus,... there's also the Pegasus, which while not reborn was born from the death of something else. There's the jade plant which can grow again from basically any part of the plant, or like starfish.

Good god, was that years ago already?

If it's the episode I'm thinking of, it's deserves to be called a classic. Oh yes.

SEan I did finally see Puppy Star Trek, with proper sound this time. It worked on Tick's puter, but not mine, oh well. Your voice was so squeaky! Names...Fawks? soory, it's late and I can't think of anything clever.

Fawks, like the Invisible Man?

"Incredible how you can... see right through me!"

(that should have been the TV show's theme song)

Hmmm... Quicksilver...

Well, what's the verdict? That was inarguably the "best" of the lot, mostly becaues it was the only one to have a script. It was also the only one to have set dressing and be filmed "on location". If I hadn't been such a snot and let my dad continue to help me, there might have been more where that came from. As it stands... UGH.

Frankenstein. He wasn't exactly reborn as much as he was pieced back together. "Reincarnated" seems like a word that might fit in this situation. :)

Frank-N-Furter?

No.

No no.

I try to block out so much of that movie that I didn't even fully realize the parallels to Frankenstein's Monster until just now. Guh. Riff-Raff doesn't REALLY have a hunch. They were doing that whole schtick on purpose.

Although this machine was indeed sort of cobbled together from disparate parts, even its "heart" was actually meant for another PC initially. It has almost no physical parts in common with the creature it used to be. The idea is apt. I just don't like the way the name sounds! :\

Yes. I know. I'm picky. I just wish I could think of something as clever as "Gladys".
