Obama signed a memorandum Wednesday giving (some) benefits to the SOs of gay Federal workersIt looks like it's a chess move at this point. Very little was said about his promises to the gay community beyond some words at his inauguration speech. I think it's a first step in something more. I do think Barack will pull the plug on Don't Ask Don't Tell at some point. Take the support of the people out there. Add it to the rescission and even denouncement of 'troop cohesion' statements from the same military officials who championed DADT in the first place, there seems to be no grounds for it to stand on at this point ( ... )

Stuff is all over the place. I can be more forgiving because a lot is going on, and this doesn't affect me, but when that Justice Department memo came out... just no excuse. None.
