My week in bullet-points.

* Review the proofs for my new album, Red Roses and Dead Things. Decide that they are, yes, sufficiently steeped in mad science, horror, and awesome sauce. Return them to the printer. I should be receiving my albums on January 26th, which is what we call 'cutting it very, very close,' but will still allow me to do a formal album release at ( Read more... )

tonight, I get to play a superhero game. it's a five year long game. Loves it I do. Saturday is another superhero game, this one only a month long. and then Sunday is BPAL Will Call. So I am a very happy tikiera today. Love rp, love rp with superheros even more.

Yeah for the album! Can't wait for the mad science!

And I ordered a copy of Ravens in the Library because, hey, Charles de Lint that would be impossible to track down later, and I too have spent time ranting about the state of American medicine. Then I noticed you had done a story for it, and wow, now it's another think to look forward to.

Hooray for you!

And yay, thank you for ordering. It's an awesome thing.

I have ordered a copy of Ravens in the Library (from my iPhone, while at the hospital the other day being evaluated to decide if I was in active labor).

I wasn't in active labor, and I'm still waiting for that to actually happen.

I am still grumpy about the exchange with the advice nurse (new this week, anyway?).

But in the meanwhile I am doing pretty well, feeling pretty good, and getting work-work done. (Because it's an easy-interrupt task, my boss has me doing info-dumps into our team wiki. This has needed to happen for a while, it's fun for me, it's easy, it's helpful, and it's low-stress. Win all around!)

I'm glad you're doing so well with the whole pregnancy party so far. And hey, soon, BABY!

Ordered my copy of RitL t'other day, yup-yup.

Hooray for album! (If and only if you have half a moment, does that mean that shipping will start sometime in early Feb or thereabouts? For, y'know, laid-back versions of thereabouts. Just a vague indication of when I should start laying bear traps around the mailbox and all that, rather than trying to joggle your arm. >_> )

Shipping is going to start when I get my albums, and finish after Conflikt. So I figure -- since we're going in strict order-it-was-received this time, rather than jumping around with the numbers -- that 1-50 will probably be in the mail before the con. Maybe 1-75, but I can't promise that.

If we have 1) preordered and 2) plan to be at ConFlikt, will it be possible to pick them up there, or is that a whole other level of hassle and bookkeeping you don't want to deal with?

It won't be out by then. Release date is Feb. 22, although that depends on the printers.

This week I'm attempting to make myself work on many, many writing projects...

Actually, if you have time to blog about this at some point, I'd love to know what you do to get all you do done. (If that made sense...) I have a bunch of things I need to accomplish and little to no idea how to even hack away at it.

That makes perfect sense, and is a really good idea. I'll hammer on it!

I, also, am delighted at the prospect of reading this.

I struggle to accomplish ONE useful thing a day that isn't "successfully make it to work so I don't get fired". I'm rather in awe of you.

OCD, a strong fear of failure, and a constant state of panic really help me get things done!
