Step one: Get off work. Go to Target. Buy microwave lunches for the next week, because Target is the only damn store in the damn Bay Area that reliably carries the kinds that I'll actually eat. Is it so hard for Safeway to keep Chicken Mirabella, Shrimp Marinara, and Tuna Casserole on their shelves? Apparently, yes. Yes, it is. (I'm only ( Read more... )

Your cranberry sauce recipe does not say when to add sugar, which sounds like it would be the fun part! :p

Just dump it in when you add the orange juice. DO NOT forget to blend your corn starch and add it straight to the boiling cranberry goo. You'll be very, very sorry if you do.

What's the Gemworld?

The Gemworld was the primary setting for the comic Amethyst: Princess of Gemworld, published by DC in the 1980s. It was one of the few adventure comics of its time aimed primarily at girls. If it were being published today, it still would be.

I, like most comic geek girls of my generation, was totally addicted, and still love it.

I adore Leverage. When Parker showed up on the screen, my friend looked at me and asked if that was the character I was ghostwriting for them. And you know this is the guy who did the Global Frequency pilot, right? Total win.
