Huzzah for home, and cats, and having the right level of tidyness around you for this moment!

And we're having a couple-few days of almost-sorta-Winter here, which makes a nice surprise for what is actually well into Summer*.

(*) It's actually more earlyish Birak (See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indigenous_Australian_seasons#South-west_coast_.E2.80.94_Noongar_.28Whadjuk.29_seasons) as the stereotypical Summer/Autumn/Winter/Spring don't fit very well at all to the climate.

Oh, how I already long for Makuru, though not as much as I will once Bunuru really settles in.

I am home sick with some sort of dreadful thing, which sucks, but on the upside, it gave me the time I needed yesterday to catch up on Indexing, which continues to be GLORIOUS OMFG, and I could not adore Sloane any more if I tried, and thank you for putting a spot of pleasure into an otherwise miserable sick day.

On my day off, I decided that I'd clean the terrible mess that is our basement and I'm rather happy with the results; my mother came to visit and that set off another cleaning bit here and there. I feel a lot better about having less of a mess and having actually finished a short story or two. Yay for getting stuff done!
