There's some big, big anthology news around these here parts!

First up, and most outside my usual wheelhouse, I am pleased to announce that my story "We Are All Misfit Toys in the Aftermath of the Velveteen War" will be appearing in the anthology Robot Uprisings, edited by Daniel Wilson and John Joseph Adams. The book will be released April 8th, ( Read more... )

Funnily enough, when John Scalzi mentioned this, my response was 'interesting, but maybe I'll pass on this one'. Now that I know you're involved? My brain immediately switched to 'I'll just eat ramen next month - I need this thing!' And that makes the second thing you've persuaded me to buy in as many days, since I bought Hex and the City as soon as you mentioned it. ^_^ I'm saving Hex and the City for my flight to Seattle next week so I can squee over it with my girlfriend (who is a huge Istas fangirl).

Heh, I had about the same set of reactions as I read through twitter. Scalzi linked it, and I looked, thought "neat project, but I'll pass right now." Then a bit later "Oh, Seanan's involved? Take my money!" :)

The Luidaeg backstory makes me so happy.

Is "We Are All Misfit Toys" a new Velveteen story following the previous Velveteen collections? Hurrah for that too!

Seconding the Luidaeg. She and Georgia are my favorite SM/MG characters of all time so far.

As a Paul & Storm fan going back to their early DaVinci Notebook days, I was already in for the Kickstarter. I just ponied up to get the anthology as an add-on.

If I read the Kickstarter right, The Paul and Stormonomicon will ONLY be available via the Kickstarter:

This collection of brand new works from all these great creators will ONLY be available to our Kickstarter backers-once the campaign’s done, this book will disappear back into the Æther. So act now!

Which is why I backed it!
