I am leaving for the WorldCon in Reno tomorrow, and a little bit horrified by how quickly this year has gone by. Maybe if I started sleeping, time would slow down. Do you think? Yeah, probably not. Oh, well. A girl can dream. Anyway

I love these posts! Sometimes I scour them in detail, others just glance through, making happily little noises at various items. There is something deeply pleasant about having this glimpse into the process of series/worlds that I'm already enjoying, and shiny hints of new worlds to come.
And then there are the times that I notice something that I haven't noticed before, like a "book two" where there is no book one in the current list, and I don't remember the book one, so I madly scroll back through the archives to find it, and resist asking the obvious question because if it isn't on the list and there hasn't been an announcement then I just KNOW that the answer would be "look! a bunny!" but I'm all excited and bouncy anyway, and OMGTHEREMIGHTBESOMETHINGNEWSOON!!!!!
*takes a deep breath* Better now.
So, yes - I look forward to these posts each month. :-)
Don't get too excited. If you're looking at Sit, Stay and thinking there's a secret announcement coming, what you're actually seeing is "the first book has been finished, and may be shopped soon, but there's absolutely no reason to keep a closed book on the projects in process list."
Seriously. When you should get excited is when a sequel to an unannounced book suddenly starts getting a lot of attention and updating.
My excitement-at-something-new (which was indeed in this instance prompted by Sit, Stay)is very easily distracted, a la "SQUIRREL!", with the thought of anything-else-new.
Little things like One Salt Sea showing on my pre-order page, or the thought of potential new Velveteen vs. stories, next year's Browncoats novella... All good here. :-)
