Good points all. In the end it comes down to varying degrees of severity, and destruction. While I have no problem if someone gets blitzed, I do have a problem if that interferes with other students here. Stop the destruction of property, no puking all over the halls, no loud parties, etc.

Well said. You don't journal much, but when you do it is worth reading.

Well, the 21-ordinance won't increase drinking in the dorms. The new department staff will be revising the alcohol policy in the dorms anyway, because drinking has gotten so bad as is. And, if it ever DID get to the point that hall coordinators couldn't control their own halls, you'd see a lot of people fired, and you'd see a major crack down in the residence halls here. And no on would like that ( ... )

But there's a big difference. I take moderation in how and when I drink. Just because you find it to be something that you don't desire to do, does not mean that we should have to refrain entirely from such a thing. Remember, everything that is good in life is good in moderation, and the people that I describe in this entry are not doing anything in moderation.

I am also not rude, destructive, loud, or perform anything illegal besides the initial act.

Then again, I'm a die hard fan of the concept that if I can damned well smoke, vote, and go to war for this country at 18, then I should be able to drink as well.

There is a major problem with drinking "responsibly" underage... IT'S AGAINST THE LAW.

Do you speed? Signal when making lane changes? Every time? Ever park at a broken meter?
