1) Anna Gail. She has been amazingly supportive and helpful and tolerant of me in this past year, which has been by far the most difficult year of my life. And that's saying something. She really is my best friend. I know we don't always agree and fight like sisters, but when I think of family, I think of her.
2) My children. Because they are the single-most driving force in my life toward change and a better future.
3) Rob Steiner. He is one of the most kind and gracious men I have ever met, yet he is still strong and full of courage and strength. He is a man of integrity and full of love, and he brings out all of this in me. I hope these traits are echoed back to him in just as much intensity as they are seen through my eyes in him.
4) My father-in-law. For slowly teaching me about unconditional love.
5) Seamus and Diane. For helping me refocus on what is important and finally learn how to heal and move on from the past.
Your wife. Don't get pissy, people. Duckie is 110%gay. but Dr Leesa has always been there for me. I can cry on her shoulder, and only about 8 people in the world have that privilege. You, Seamus. You have always given me food for thought or made me think. My Grandfather (RIP) for too many reasons to name.
Four. Monster. He teaches me to love, even if it means to hurt. I will miss him. I do not think he will be *my* Monster for much longer. But he is safe, loved, and cared for. It is enough.
