It's good to read a review - I must admit, as an American, that I do not think of Wales or Scotland or other places in the UK when 'Arthur' comes to mind. It's always London area, well back-dated a bit, and everyone speaks either a generalized British accent or maybe a 'funny' sort of Yorkshire speech.
blasted heath On the overnight train to Edinburgh from London, I remember looking out the window and seeing the rolling waves of the land in March, all dotted with snow and blackish looking earth with scrub bush.
I visited youtube to hear the music, and there were a surprisingly large umber of positive comments about the film, that were rude about the critics' view and said it was awesome and the music was brilliant.
There are bits all over Britain that are (allegedly) named after King Arthur. The main hill in Edinburgh is called Arthur's Seat!
The further North you go, the more rugged and wind-swept it is. I seem to remember thinking Braveheart looked quite Scottish as well (I think it was mostly filmed in Wales though!!). Talking of rugged and wind-swept, I almost managed to go and see Caerbannog earlier this year while I was passing, but I was without the holy hand grenade of Antioch, and I also didn't have time. It's on my to-do list though as it's reasonably close to where I live : )
Not sure about King Arthur fandom. I don't have the urge to write about it. Might have to go find some KA icons though!

akathecentimetre wrote astoundingly good Star Wars stories and completed them, so if she tackles Arthurian themes, this ought to be good. :)
