You mean Baker Senior? Yes, it was weird. The inference seems to be that the Doctor will wind up repeating earlier incarnations later in life, although the "just the favourites" seemed rather snide. Alternatively, he looked old for the same reason that Peter Davison did in the Children In Need special a few years back, and was just waffling like a loon because that's the sort of thing the Fourth Doctor does. Still, it made a lot of fans happy. I could have done without his cameo myself, but the rest was good! I especially liked Peter Davison's film later in the evening, which wrapped the celebration off nicely.
Sorry that things haven't been plain sailing lately. But writing is good, so well done for that.
Glad I'm not the only one who though it was a bit unnecessary. And just confusing! Ok, so continuity (or sense!) and DW are not the best of friends, but that is just plain weird!

I have heard the 50th was fun - always like a happy ending, myself. Is the cameo meant to be a mystery?

Re DW - I'm not sure if it was supposed to be a mystery - it was a bit confusing, though. And if you haven't seen it, I won't spoil it for you. :)
