Very few people know this, but we have a cell phone. We use it next to never¹, so we don't have a monthly plan. Instead, we have the Fido pay-as-you go option, whereby when we want to use the phone (and/or when we remember to), we pay $10 for a 30-minute block of time which is good for a month ( Read more... )

Call them and ask for a free card and tell them if they ever use your cell line again to advertise to you, you'll go to Rogers.

What was interesting about that message was that I couldn't skip it, fast-forward through it, or delete it until it had played through to its completion.

Yeah what's up with that? Our cell phones are like that too... it's not something that's cost us any money, but its a potential concern for wasting my time.

This is one example of a product where I want a button on the product to "kick the engineer's butt" who designed this. Another example is on our car - it is impossible to close the vent when the air is coming out certain vents, such as the windshield. What the... what if I'm driving in an area where there is a lot of pollution outside, or like, maybe heavy smoke. Do I really have to decide between visibility and being able to breath?

Those calls are frustrating, but I am 90% sure you are not charged for them.
