Loved even just reading about the shades of gray and the ghost ship and the puppies, even without photos.

I agree with you about prep time. Since I cook for a fair number of people at once, I also like a recipe to give number of servings. If I think about it, I can look at the amounts of ingredients and guess, but sometimes I don't think about it, and a few times I've therefore been caught out...

That not safe for celiacs thing is really annoying. I'm not a celiac, but I have friends who are, and if I bought a gluten-free cookbook, it would e because I wanted to make sure I didn't kill them, you know? Grrrrr.
