Debbie is posting some of her photos from the tidepools, along with some excellent short poems. I'm still getting my shots together, and seeing if I can't come up with some poetry to accompany them (the three I wrote Saturday I want to see if I can whip into shape and sell ( Read more... )

You look quite dashing in those photos, like you're ready to go off on an adventure exploring parts unknown. I think it's the combo of the landscape, the sunglasses, and the jacket.

Also, I'm glad you got your prescription filled without too much hassle.

And the writing pad and pen add a nice touch, don't you think?

My death grip on both is the best part, I think. And I still almost lost the pen at one point. They were handy to have, though, even if I had to do some creative interpreting of my own writing.

Aren't they awesome? And I finally have mine galleried, so hopefully I'll be able to pull some poetic description together and give more views of those wonderful tidepools.

Also, thanks! Though now I wonder if folks think the reason I tend to avoid cameras is because I'm self-conscious about my looks, which isn't the case.

You looked JUST as I imagined! How strange is that? And very much like a sea person!

(which means, beautiful and graceful and confident by the sea, btw)

Thank you! My ancestors were sailors and fishermen (and selkies ;-), so the sea is an old love. *G*

I do have an icon that shows my face clearly. It's from a digital painting a friend did based on a portrait of me. I don't use it often because I'm not a fan of portraits, though, and I don't think I've used it at all since I friended you.

I like your fins!

Being in my 40s, I'm not such a fan of portraits myself! Though I was a vain thing in my youth :-P

This userpic is a photo of me that I can tolerate.

It's a very cool painting, even if I don't like portraits. *G*

Two of my sisters have done modelling, and I was pushed to do the same. I refused, for a lot of reasons, but not thinking myself attractive isn't one of them. *G*

See, I think you're gorgeous. You've got fantastic bone structure, and you look so alive.

Oh, and I found the Paz piece! It's "My Life with the Wave." There's a (not-so-good, imo) recording here.
