Draco is NOT a werewolf!
An opinion based on the canon by SeaIsleWitch

So, the Draco is a Werewolf theory has popped up again. I've seen it twice in the past week. This is a never-before-posted essay of sorts, which I wrote last year -- or maybe even the year before -- with special assistance from the fabulous lewlinX. Clearly, I'm not an essayist or a theorist, ( Read more... )

Of course he's not a werewolf (but he IS a vampire!) :)

This entry is disturbing--not because of what you say, but because I didn't know there were even more strange arguments for Draco being a werewolf when there is not the slightest hint he is the text. I still don't get it. I remember one theory that made up a whole fictitious family Draco was living with during his transformations and that's somehow who he was crying about (because they were mean to him when he was a wolf).

It seems like it would be the easiest thing in the world to disprove, as you've done here: Draco does *not* miss classes during the full moons in HBP, when he "disappears" it's for hours in a day, not days in a month. He's getting continuously worse-looking due to stress and lack of food and sleep, he's not ill and then rebounding. In short, he does absolutely nothing to indicate he's a werewolf (knowing and being afraid of a werewolf hardly counts!) and does several things that prove he isn't one!

That's exactly why I didn't post this last year! I wasn't sure if I really needed to! The theory is completely ridiculous, but there are so many blogs with random people supporting this theory.

I can't seem to find the John Granger/Hogwarts Professor link, but he may have it locked up -- I think it's in his new book. (I do have some of his essay printed out with my old notes.) The few lj links I had bookmarked have been locked up as well, so I won't expose those people. Here's one link that still exists: Draco Malfoy: A Werewolf?

BTW - Do you have the link to the fictitious family theory? *g*

I'm trying to remember where it was...it was in some discussion about the theory I read on lj that I can't remember. I think it was on lj. It always stuck with me because I couldn't believe how this whole complicated family had been invented when they didn't even make sense in the theory (who's mean to a transformed werewolf??)

I agree. I assumed he was looking stressed and miserable because of the task laid upon him. There isn't any need to add the other variables (werewolf, vampire). Being charged with killing Dumbledore is bad enough!

Exactly! I think given the task of the greatest sorcerer of the time would be stress enough.

Yes, we will. *g* Honestly, I don't want the book to come out next week! I'm not ready! I do wish I was going to Sectus, though.

Passionate about some strange special things, and brilliant.

*hugs* Had to read this again.
