My school strikes again. The newspaper had a special section today recognizing students' achievements from local high schools. I was the fucking salutatorian and my school did not even submit my name and transcript for consideration. Beyond that, they had the opportunity to submit eighteen names and only submitted eight

I offer this as someone who gave the graduation speech, had a special breed of disdain for most of the student body, and is about to attend his ten year high school reunion.

Let it go.

It's over. And the further away you get, the more you'll realize that. Let it be done with. You've got bigger and better things to spend your energy on.

It's hard to let it go, because it still feels like the school could come up and take something away from me. I don't know.

Also I know that if I don't do anything in response to this, my dad will call the school and go on a tirade. He's been on a kick lately that he's tired of seeing me lay down and take stuff from school.

So if I actually do something, I think it wouldn't be because I really want to, but to stop my dad from making things worse with his brand of doing something.
