I did always wonder why the monkey ended up with Jack's crew. I kept thinking I missed something, so thanks for filling in the gap. :-)
And that is creepy at the end. Perhaps a setup for what may happen in POTC III? It does sound as if the gang is going to have to go to hell and back to retrieve Jack!

Gibbs had a throwaway line in DMC about the island & treasure "going pear-shaped". Anachronism aside, lines like that always get me wondering what kind of adventure is hiding behind that one simple sentence.
Lord knows, the DVD will come along and have a whole explanation about the monkey that'll nullify my story!
