(also because a couple people said they would be interested in reading new posts by me) but my efforts are thwarted by my own crappy laptop. My Portal 2 ( Read more... )

Yeah, I've been around, I'm just a massive lurker these days XD

I have no idea how to get it out :/ I had issues taking out the Sims too, for when I wanted to put Portal 2 in, but the Sims came out of the CD port enough that I could yank it out. Now it won't even do that. My laptop is having a creepy love affair with the game, I guess :(

*Blames GLaDOS* I hope your laptop remembers its past affair with the Sims soon ;w; Too bad there wasn't a screw or a tab you could squeeze to get it out DX I'm always scared of taking discs out of my laptop, I don't want to break them @_@ Such finicky things.

There's usually a manual release on the drive. It'd be a little hole just big enough to stick a paperclip or needle through.

BTW I'd love to see new posts from you. :D

I started using a no-cd crack two laptops ago. The fan was malfunctioning, so spinning the cd made it overheat, and stuff. Never regretted it. XD

I want to ask how to get some of those, but I feel like it's the sort of thing that one normally doesn't openly discuss :P Or am I just weird and paranoid? Ah well, first I'd have to find one that works on Macs, which might be the biggest problem of all XD

Oh not at all. Most people use them, because there is less risk of discs being scratched. Just google it, and you'll find them. ^_^
