Good question!

I'm like you. Watch whole vid, large chunks of black space and all, throughout the vidding process, to get the larger picture. Otherwise I tend to get lost in the details and the overall narrative/structure suffers for it.

When I started vidding I would just work straight through, watching the section I was working on but not really grasping how the whole was supposed to fit together. The longer I vid, the more complicated I find it! Heh.

I do the same thing! And it's definitely upwards of 100 views for me as well. It's no wonder I'm kind of done with the song by the time I finally post my vid. :)

There are a COUPLE of songs I've vidded that I still love, but mostly? I just can't bear to hear them again for awhile. Sometimes ever, for some.

I've watched my premieres vid over a hundred times, definitely. Your process sounds similar to mine.

If I'm working on a small timing issue, I will focus in and just watch those couple of seconds while working it out, but then I'll expand back out and watch the whole thing so that I can feel the context.

*nodnod* That sounds like what I do. It's amazing to me we can watch our vids so many times and still love them.

I watch it in its entirety (either the chunk[s] I've done or the whole draft as it is) easily 100 times before it gets published, if you could all the drafts I do. I think watching the whole thing at a time, not just bits, is really important for the overall feel and flow of the vid.

When I think I have a final-final draft (the, "no, really this time" draft, which is about 5 rounds after what I first CALL the final draft, heh), I'll watch that probably 10 times before posting it just to be *sure*.

Once I think I have the final-final draft, I can only watch it about twice before I can't watch it again. I am terrible about that.
