Because it's almost midnight and I'm going to Vividcon tomorrow, so why not?!

11. The Princess Bride, by William Goldman - I've heard such good things about the book, and the movie has been a favorite of mine since I was little.

Oh! This is a MUST READ. I mean, the movie is good... but the book is so much better! It's also absolutely meant to be read aloud... the first time I read it, I ended up reading it to my dog. Seriously, you'll find yourself itching to read it to *someone*.

10. American Gods, by Neil Gaiman - I actually only read this last year, I think!

If you haven't read Anansi Boys yet, you really need to pick up a copy! It's not really a sequel... it simply takes place in the same universe, but I loved it so much more than American Gods (which I liked quite a bit, so that's saying something).

34. The Moon is a Harsh Mistress, by Robert Heinlein - I'm pleased to see so much Heinlein on here, honestly. Me too! I had no idea you were such a big Heinlein fan! I still haven't read all of his books... but that's intentional. For some reason, I didn't discover his books until the year before ( ... )

I did also read Anansi Boys, again just last year. I have been lax on my Gaiman.

I decided that I would only read one "new" book of his a year after that

That is really cool! And I admire your patience, wow. :)

Someday we should see about having you guys over or something (and no, not just to see these books... we could play some boardgames or cardgames or something). It's not like you live all that far away!

We love boardgames but no one ever seems to want to play them. AHH would be ALL OVER that. And me too. Hee.

True fact: I have NEVER ACTUALLY ENCOUNTERED someone else who has read that series! I don't even know you and yet I feel a bond. Hee.

Hee! Books rarely catch a fandom. Sigh. I did try writing a crossover once, because Buffy the Vampire Slayer versus Tim The Dread and Pussiant Champion Of The Fey sounded like a natural, but I just couldn't get it to work.
