"I have the music."

So I finally had time to watch the Glee pilot, and I enjoyed it, which I suspected I would. Especially with the TOTALLY OFFSIDES use of Journey. That's not playing fair. Heh. But, it looks like I'll be adding it to my TV watching next season!

We are still watching Boomtown, though we got sidetracked yesterday thanks to Rescue Me (which is ( Read more... )

OMG, thanks for the link to the Total Eclipse of the Heart video. I can't remember the last thing that made me laugh that hard.

am now All Aboard the 'David McNorris Is Fascinating' train thanks to the episode about him.

Hee. I knew you'd get there eventually. ;)

One of the awesome aspects of the show is the slow character reveals throughout the season. Even the finale had one which made me want to shake the characters for not addressing something sooner.

I tried to resist! But I was completely unable to after that episode. Where do I sign up? :)

Yeah, I'm enjoying the slow character builds. I really liked Joel's conversation with Fearless, too, where he finally talked about his wife.

As president of the Twin Cities Tea Club, I highly approve of the afternoon tea plans. ;-)

It's only something I'm come to appreciate the last couple of years, but I LOVE it now!

That "White Wedding" one is pretty awesome, too. And Separate Ways! One of my favorite 80s songs. :D

what I'd REALLY love is a video made literally to the song (rather than the reverse); sort of like this take on Joe Cocker singing @ Woodstock:

I seem to be the only person on my flist who found Glee irrationally annoying For me, it was sort of like everything that keeps me from watching The Office mated with everything that keeps me from watching Friday Night Lights, and their baby WOULD NOT STOP SINGING. I made it a grand total of 15 minutes. But me_maneuver is all enthusiasm about it!

So, the showing up at your house thing. That is the plan! (EEEEE) Hopefully, we do not get besieged by the Totally Random Late Spring Thunderstorm of Doom this weekend!

Hee. See, the singing is a feature not a bug for me, so I think that helps a lot. *g*

Yay we get to meet you! \o/ I'm looking forward to it! The weather here should be stunning, at least, so I hope you make it out okay!

I am surprisingly picky about musicals! There are a handful I adore (including Buffy's "Once More with Feeling"), but, for the most part, I just do not get the appeal of the inexplicable singing and dancing. Or, more bothersome, the ones where people sing and dance as part of their jobs, and yet also randomly sing and dance as a means of communication.

I also have a knee-jerk dislike of "recycled music" style musicals (perhaps brought about by Moulin Rouge?)

OTOH: West Side Story is Ray Kowalski's favorite movie, y? He's a jet 'til the end!

Barring the sort of wrong turns that land us in CA, everything should go as planned *crosses fingers* *struggles to type*

If you're sad and you're singing in your bed at night? PEOPLE CAN HEAR YOU. EVERYONE. CAN HEAR YOU.
