I love Hulu. Today I'm watching Ghostbusters while I get some stuff done around the house. This movie is so quotable ( Read more... )

politics is fat and ugly, like the internet but in person, supernatural, movies, linky mclinkerston, the office, the middleman

Either way, please don't spoil me, unless Mahone dies, in which case, you better tell me. sol_se, aurora_84, and I have made a pact that if any of us finds out Alex is going to die, we are swearing to tell each other. If you want in on that, let me know, as I've been reading spoilers for the show this season just to prepare myself for that possibility.

OMG yes, I want in on that. I normally avoid spoilers like the plague, but if someone I love that much is going out, I need preparation time. I'm slowly acclimatising myself to the idea that it makes a certain amount of narrative sense for Alex to die, but even so, I can't have it sprung on me. I need to be ready -- which will at least involve the purchase of a very large bottle of Jack Daniel's :-)

And I *loved* The Time Traveler's Wife. It's in my Top Five Books Of All Time. (rest of comment deleted until you've finished it :-)

Hmmm. No, I think I'm the opposite. I'm happy to remain spoiler-free.

Mainly because I adore Alex the way I adored Wes on AtS, so if we're going to have a noble, story-sense-making death (and, really, I'm half-inclined to want to see it because WF would do wonders with that scene), I know my first instinct would be to get on the computer and rewrite it so I could fix it up. So, hmmm, emotional trauma but the impetus to write would be worth the sudden surprise.

Having said that, given the way you can pick the mood of an FList even though post are spoiler-free, I'd probably be expecting something anyway.

OMG, did you go into the AtS finale unspoiled? You're a braver soul than me! Although even forewarned, I still cried my eyes out :-)

Argh! He would, he so would. Don't make me want it!! ::bites nails::

Completely unspoiled. And left staring at my TV screen, all shocked. And then stayed up until about three a.m. writing a happy ending for Angel and Spike and then killing Wesley in other ways.

I'm more of a typer than a crier. *g*

I've finished it now, it was a really good book, but one of the saddest books I've ever read. I wasn't prepared for that.

Oh, god, I'm sorry. It *is* sad, but sad art (when it's effective) tends to make me ecstatic, so it wouldn't have occurred to me to warn you.

::hugs::

I have seen the first one a really stupid number of times, and I never get tired of it.
