Pick your poison

I've watched a lot of TV, tried to catch up on LJ, been mentally exhausted, gone to the zoo, handwritten a lot of fic, and enjoyed the VP debate since last we talked. I'm going to try to shove all of my myriad thoughts into one post, because otherwise I'll never get it out. I cannot promise coherency, but I can promise length. I've used cuts for ( Read more... )

politics is fat and ugly, like the internet but in person, invasion, pushing daisies, prison break, linky mclinkerston, alias, fine william fichtner - you win!

That was a great sequence!

And, yeah, I love how he's protecting his family, and how his definition of that is changing and growing. He's so interesting!

Ned was soooo stalking Chuck. I'm glad Emerson said what we were thinking! And death by bees is gross. :(

All I can say about Alias is enjoy the first two seasons. It still had it's own internal logic at that point. And I'm glad you like Vaughn. A lot of people had issues with him, but, yes, I found him sweet and adorable. ;)

Emerson speaks the truth. One of his best qualities. *g*

I'm aware of Alias' sharp decline in quality; I'm pretty sure brynn's plan is to stop 5 minutes before the end of season 2, to save us both. Hee.

Ha, so you're spoiled about what happens in the last five minutes?

I didn't think S3 was as awful as everyone made it out to be, but it probably played better on DVD. And I think S4 was an improvement, and S5 brought the show to a nice close. Although, yes, it did get more nonsensical after the first two awesome seasons. But it was still fun.

I'm actually spoiled for what happens in the last three seasons! I feel duly prepared.

I'm also a completist, so I may try to talk brynn into showing me the rest, though she says part of the problem is character-based, and that kind of thing I can't forgive. Like Will in The West Wing.

Yay Alias! I'm happy you're enjoying it and you have so much to look forward to. Bristows!! And Jack never stops getting awesomer, just you wait.

Yeah, the ratings are a big deal for T:TSCC and it'll probably get canceled if things don't improve unfortunatly :( But that it's affeccting PB's ratings is ridiculous IMO.

Yeah, you definitely need Emerson to make the show works. And I definitely LOVE the dark and sexy underside, it's so cool how the show can work it in.

I'm actually excited about watching Alias; a bunch of people on my flist like it and it's been enjoyable. I look forward to it.

I agree. I was telling AHH the other day that I feel crappy that a show I love is being used as an excuse to can a show that everyone else I know loves. Sigh. Studio executives.

Hi Zoo Buddy! *does not talk about Zoo Buddies*

Ok, I don't really have much else to say. Oh except for Ray rubbing his fuzzy head! That is so important. And holy fucking GUH J. August Richards. Work those suspenders. So apparently today I just want to comment about attractive dudes? Uh, blah blah blah Lee Pace blah blah blah William Fichtner?

Also, politics is fat and ugly = best tag EVER

I think every day is like that, so really, I have no place to judge!

J. August Richards being insanely hot in a suit

!!!!!

I actually made it about 30 minutes through an episode of Raising the Bar before I had to turn it off, but no amount of J August Richards being hot in a suit can counteract Mark Paul Gossaeler's scraggy emo hair (or the awful dialogue).

Mark Paul Gossaeler is just one of several very good reasons I didn't even give the show a try. I'm glad to see I'm not missing anything, besides JAR in a suit.
