I'm feeling a bit better now - I've been upright for about three hours in a row! Thank you for your good wishes. I'm definitely feeling well enough to have watched the final act of Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog and share some quick thoughts. I feel like I have to complete the event.

LOL, we pretty much had the same reaction :) And yeah, the more I think on it, as much as I felt a bit gut-punched at first and was all "That's it?", I...liked it. It worked, I think.

And yes, this was Nathan's turn to shine in this Act, most definitely. And NPH just continued to rock and break my heart.

Now that I've re-watched it in full again, I like it more and more. But I'm in the minority on that. That's ok!

I actually feel the same way. Watching it fully now (a couple more times), I see so much more to the story and tone that was always there but that I guess I was too distracted by basically all the pretty music to see. People who watched it act by act as opposed to all at once almost had the disadvantage, IMO.

I was just so unprepared for the sudden shift to tragedy (yes, even knowing Joss had a hand in it; the first two acts lulled me into complacency), that the shock was overwhelming

I felt the same way, and the Origin Story explanation made it make sense for me too. Now I just want more!

See I had the "Is that it?" like two seconds after it ended. Cause damn it, Joss! But yeah, in the end it works. And I couldn't figure out how it could end and this one totally works, tragic as it is. He always does like breaking up couples and killing people off. And very, very true about NF and NPH. The latter just blew me away with his singing. I definitely wish there was more, before or after.

I honestly thought they'd go the route where NF was a superhero who was all way out of tune and everything, so the fact he could sing at all was hugely impressive to me. NPH, of course, was amazing.
