I'm sad to report that I though really wanted to attend this year's American Idol tour (don't judge me!), I cannot, as they are coming to Washington during Dragoncon weekend. Le sigh. As for last night's show,

Here I am, three years later, stuck with a username I don't actually like. Some days I hate it, some days (like today) I'm at peace with it, but I have spent a number of hours over the last three years thinking of something else to call myself. Heh.

I hate the name I started with, so recently I started just using this one.

What did you end up doing with your vids? Did you go back and change them, too? That seems like the biggest stumbling block for mr.

I just kept them as they were. I think if I change any it would be Touched (which is a year old) because I am pretty sure that’s the only one that won't ever be retired.

So what would you change your vidder name to if you were to change it?

I am having a similar probelm with deathisyourart; I love the name for LJ, and I like not only what it stands for (morbid much?), hte metaphorical meanings that I can give to it, and where I got it, bt it is awful.... LONG! For a while I just signed everything as "Diya" but people started to think that that was my real name, so now I think I will just sign everything as "Death". It has a very powerful feel to it :P

So what would you change your vidder name to if you were to change it?

I don't know! I've run through a lot of names, some really terrible, I admit. I like how "Eolian" sounds. It means "borne on the wind," which I am quite fond of. I'd feel weird not being wolfpup anymore at this point, too, though. I'm torn.

Length of name, hadn't thought of that. Heh, that's why I always shorten mine to SDW.

Eolian is very pretty, but I warn you that I will often make the mistake of still calling you sdwolfpup or SD from time to time. I don't know how people change their names on a whim, it is a really big decision.

You know what you should do? You should have a contest to rename your LJ user name. And the winning entry would get to request a one minute video from you. Whee! That would be fun.

PS "Indefatigable" is the worst name for a ship. Try saying it when someone is shooting cannons off your bow, I dare ya!

PPS I don't actually know if "shooting cannons off your bow" has any real meaning. It just sounded shippy to me. :0)

OK, but have you ever said "His Royal Majesty's Frigate Indefatigable" out loud? I think there are few greater pleasures in life. And they have "Indy" for, you know, emergency use.
