Okay, so years ago I used to watch The Sentinel (Jim and Blair!!!), but I never got Due South. I think mostly because I could never really catch it on tv, and then I think they moved it to another channel and then never knew where it was. Until now. I got all the episodes and I've been slowly watching them and... DUDE. IT'S SO MUCH FUN

And of course I have recs pages! But they're mostly Fraser/RayK, whom you'll meet in the third season.

It's still a very active fandom, though, and there are plenty of resources. Here's the tags on ds_recsredx for pairing: fraser/vecchio and category: gen. (Of course the fics may still reference events that happen after season 1-2.)

ETA: You can totally ask at ds_recfinders for fics for someone who's still in season 1.

It's amazing to find old fandoms that are still alive and kicking. And yeah, I knew that a lot of the Sentinel writers also did Due South, but back then I had no inclination to read Due South and now I just don't remember who they were. *g*

I've only gone through a few stories, but dude. They are so much fun!!!

Due South is the show I watch to cheer me up :) It's so much fun! Although some of it is angsty, but mostly fun!!

I was going to ask if you have a pairing yet, I'm more a Fraser/RayK girl, so any specific recs I'd have would be with that pairing, and you're not there yet! When you get to the third series I recommend devouring all of cesperanza's fic, my favourites being Chicago's Most Wanted and Some Strange Prophecy

It really is funny as hell, isn't it? I keep laughing out loud, and yeah, the whole Victoria thing was painfull as nothing else (the way he cries!!!!!!), but at the same time, I was screaming at the tv and I miss doing that, it's been a while since I've enjoyed a show that much. *bounces*

You know what's funny, I'm already reading the season three slash and picturing RayK in my mind and it's so amazing. I wanna see if by the time I actually reach season three (two days from now, probably, the way I'm going through the episodes), he'll be everything I have in my brain. *g*

I have read Some strange prophecy and loved it -- okay, haven't finished reading it yet, because I was just about to reach the Victoria Episodes and I wanted to have the full feeling. Dude, the train! He was gonna get in that train!!! WHAT THE HELL!!!! Though I might have to read it again after I've seen the right season. *bounces*

I started reading RayK/Fraser slash after having not watch Due South since i was about ten so couldn't really remember him at all. And then I watched series three and read it all all over again :) I hope he lives up to your expectations!!

Some Strange Prophecy is brilliant :) I love fics with both Rays, and there arent as many long good ones as I'd like out there :)
He was getting on the train!!! I love the episode after that one, one of my favourites :)

I hope you continue to enjoy it!! If you come across any good fics you should rec them! :)
