Oh I don't know anyone who likes it. Apparently fans are so upset Joe Mallozzi had to do an entire post explaining the relationship. (Yeah, if people don't get it from what you put on the screen, it's failed.)

I mean, I liked Jennifer just fine on her own, and Rodney liking her and kind going against Ronon for her was fun. And John keeping quiet about Rodney and Jennifer being together in that AU was FREAKING AMAZING BUT... DUDE!!! *cries* I've realized that the moment you put two of your main characters (or one very main character with one almost main character) someone IS GOING TO GET PISSED OFF. *nods*

I've read only one Episode Post in a comm where you can comment and all that, and everyone was like, "oh, Rodney is getting some loving!" And I thought I was the only one who spent those minutes cringing and watching it through my fingers. *nods*

*sniff* I miss the slashy subtext, damn it. No wonder I'm in love with Merlin right about now.

Eh, I didn't think they did a good job with Jennifer--I mean, she's the shy little girl with no confidence one show, and the bar fly who can pick up guys the next. And everybody on the show just loves her--not that we see why, they just tell us how much everybody loves her. Bad, bad character building. And then they made her the center of numerous episodes, when I pretty much tune in to see the team and the McShep subtext. I think the geeky white boys were having orgasms about having Jewel Staite on the show, and figured their 18-30 boy demographic would be doing the same, and they forgot to make the rest of the audience care about her character. Bah.

Merlin is a much, much happier place!

Yeah, it reminded me of Ginny in the Harry Potter books (not sure if you're read them). One book she's the shy little sister and then on book five, she's part of the gang, and kicks ass and is a pretty decent Seeker. *shrugs*

I liked that Jewel Staite was brought on (dude, Firefly!!!!) and that she was a doctor and nice and pretty, but she should have been just like that. God, she had more screen time than Carter and I was sure Sam was gonna steal the show!!!! *sighs* I hate what they've done with it, truth be told.

Merlin is HEAVEN!!!! *sniff* God, I can't really catch up on all my reading. I finish one story and there three more waiting for me!!!! (not that I'm complaining. *g*).

jennifer/rodney is weird. i was all for jennifer/ronon, and was glad that ronon was going after her hand despite rodney's... um... affection for her? but my hopes were dashed when she turned him down.

it's not my love of mckay/sheppard that's doing it. it's that the writers showed almost zero chemistry between keller and mckay.

I thought that was me too. One moment she's just a doctor taking over because Becket died and no one else would, and then next SHE'S A MAIN CHARACTER? *shrugs*

I liked the AU version better, where John finds out that Rodney and Jennifer where together but they should taken a page out of the SG-1 book, like in the quantum mirror episodes where Jack was with Sam BUT IT DIDN'T HAVE TO HAPPEN IN THIS REALITY. *sighs*

There are only so many episodes left in that show, god, why would they ruin it like that? *shivers*

i think i may have missed it, cause i'm just now catching up on this season. but apparently one of the latest eps makes it canon, right? and joe mallozi had to put this huge huge post out to explain why they're together.

and, seriously. if you have to explain that deeply, it's not worth it.

it wasn't necessary to give anyone a relationship this season. ok, so teyla has kanaan and a kid. that's enough for everyone to be satisfied. it's not important.

EXACTLY!!! There are other stuff to focus on. Like CSI!!!! The flirting between Griss and Sarah was bad enough, but then they were dating, and Grissom was saying crap like, "Yes, dear?" and I was about to gougue my eyes out with a fork. *grumbles*

They need new writers, damn it!!!!
