Oh. My. God.

I think you just killed me. This hurt to read - your descriptions are so haunting, and the way you interwove the two timelines was excellent. Poor, poor Seth. And poor Ryan; you really convey the sense of helplessness and kind of pointless guilt that comes with watching someone you really love go through a breakdown like this. I don't know if you've had real experience of it, but if not then all I can say is you could have fooled me. God. You really do hurt Ryan like nobody else (and I mean that in the best way).

I'm going off to read part 2 now, if I can take it. Amazing. *mems*

You know, before posting it, the more I read it and thought about it, the less I wanted to actually post it. I kept thinking it was too much, too raw, too everything for me to actually post. But it was already beta and I figured, *shrugs* what the hell? I'm glad you liked it.

I've never had an experience like this, *knocks on wood*, but thanks for the praise. I just love hurting Ryan, and the more I do it, the better I get at it/the more I like it. *nods* Besides, it's something of a hobby of mine. *points to icon*
