I'm attempting to increase my Q rating by getting work out as frequently as possible. Just had a story published on Raygun Revival, I've got a story appearing in the quarterly horror anthology Postscripts to Darkness this spring and I'm planning on attempting to get some play through the free Amazon library as well. Have you considered putting together an anthology of your short fiction and pushing it out for free, or for $0.99? It might be another way forward.

Also, what's a Q rating?

I'm actually doing that in a smaller scale right now. I'm going to throw the full "Ballad of the Wayfaring Stranger and the Dead Man's Whore" on the Kindle free library for ninety days with an option to buy for a buck. If that works out well for me, I may end up putting "Slow Boat to Fast City" (which is shaping up to be about 25 Rat Pack Mars stories) on for a sawbuck. We'll see.

Q-rating or Q-score's a measure of product popularity through name recognition. The Demory brand's got a pretty crap Q, but I'm hoping to bump it up a bit.

Which is also why I chose to go DRM-free, although Amazon gives the option. Well, that and the fact that I consider DRM to be sort of bullshit.
