Ok, I'm a bit confused. Why does something with her ear mean she has to be spayed?

Well, the hematoma started and the only way to correct it is via surgary. So, we thought since she was already under, just get all she needs done at one time so we don't have to subject her to multiple surgaries. The vet agreed, it was better this way.
