So the laptop works now. Because of either installing udev-initrd or upgrading geninitrd it's working fine. I'm getting the funky dma errors that I had last time, but it boots. Now onto connectivity.

I configure my wireless card, a Zonet ZEW1501, with the parameters:

Oh yeah. I'm older today. Birthday and all that. Whoop!

The worst way to start the day is one that requires police and paramedics.
Car accident in front of our house, between a car full of 15-ish year olds and a parked car. Only one of the kids stayed and that was because his knee was busted, but not apparently broken. The rest ran off to school or something.
I hate some of the kids of today.
