Arf... for the first time I don't like the end of a chapter... no seriously... Why Dean? Why? Why didn't you speak with him before you began to pack your stuffs? -_- It seemed you wanted to escape, stupid! >< And Gabe... Why Gabe? Why? Why were you so closed? Shit... this sucks! I really hope Dean will come back to him and I hope their relationship won't be altered. -_-
Well back to the beginning. ^^ I loved the first paragraphs. I had a bad feeling I feared Gabe was more distant with him and I was glad to see that it was exactly the opposite. Loved all the new spicy details of their private life. xD Great!
Then I loved the voting scene. I loved all the details you gave about every sovereign's appearance and about the demons. I loved Dean's thoughts about what Gabe was wearing and especially about his facial expressions and how he could deduce his thoughts through it.
At that point I just wanted to know what was going to happen to the human race. But you decided to keep us in suspense. >< xD When I began to read this paragraph I just

Well, it is sad, that is for sure, but no matter what Sam will always come first for Dean, and he couldn't let his brother go alone.

I hope the next chapter will help you to better understand Dean's reasons beyond that.

Yeah I know Sam will always come first. It's cannon and even without thinking about the show, I totally understand. But Dean should have waited to speak about it with Gabe before he began to pack his stuff. He should have explained him, Gabe wouldn't have taken this as an evasion (or less at least). ^^ But as I said, it made the story even more interesting.

Well, that was an...expected turn of events. Formulaic, but given the awesomeness of the story up to this point, I'm sure it'll continue to be so. :)
