Title: A Vengeful Proposal

Author: SCWLC

Disclaimer: Still don't own anything.

Rating: PG-15

Summary: Aang and Sokka. Blame, vengeance and the avatar state. Ninth in the Proposal series.

Author's Notes: It's a little short, true. But this is what I've got.

It was the day before the wedding of the century, and Sokka was feeling more hopeful than he had in a long time. )

This chapter is made up of pure Win. Seriously. The ending was the best part with Zuko coming out as 'Fire Lord Awesome' with his authority and being a papa-like, "What's going on here, my children?" or something like that...

Oh, Appa.

Well, it wouldn't be Avatar without Appa, would it? And I like to think of Zuko as the 'dad' of the gAang, while Katara gets to be 'mom'. Next he sends them all to their rooms without supper.

"Is she crazy?" Toph demanded of Sokka.

Sokka shrugged. "He gets like this, then she gets like that," he told her. "It's a thing they do."

This.

Is so perfectly Toph and Sokka, although I'm guessing you missed part of Book 2, because Aang went glowy in the middle of that season too.

Amazing work on all of this, by the way. It's nearly four in the morning, I've been reading since about seven and can't stop.

I've seen parts of season two, such as when Aang went glowy with the sandbenders, but I thought maybe Toph thought it was just that one time, when Katara was crazy from no water and feeling guilty, not just standard practice. Also, things were blurry on the sand, so she may have missed it that time.

That is my justification, and I'm sticking to it.

As to being up all night, not able to stop reading a fanfic series? I've been there, and I'm hugely complimented that you felt that way about these.

So thank you so much.

Very good justification. And thanks for explaining it. I never thought about that.

And you're welcome! What good is sleep when there's awesome fic to be had?!

Well, I remain complimented. I mean, I happen to love sleeping. So to have my fic be better than sleeping? That's huge. That's like . . . peanut butter cups huge. At least for me. So I'm just going to bask like an iguana on a sunny day.
