Good point. Then again, I think I've eaten a lot worse, like when I cook with butter AND oil.

I think we have a product here called "Chicken Chippees". They just use chicken instead of potato. I think. Haven't tried them.

Or is a Chicken Fry something entirely different?

No, I think you've got the idea.

Here in the states (and specifically the midwest, I think), we have this lovely little place called "White Castle". They have "Chicken Rings". When we were in the drive-thru, at four am, completely drunk (as you tend to be in the drive-thru at 4 am at White Castle), my friend Dave once blurted out "what's a chicken ring?" and the response was "it's a chicken...with a hole in it". That went well!

Crikey, I remember seeing an ad for a really bad movie that had "White Castle" in the title. Something along the lines of "Someone & Someone Go to White Castle"... Was White Castle a sponsor of that film?
