My mom was telling me about this...so fucked up. Personally I want to know what the advisor was teaching these kids or why he didn't actually read what they were writing.
Whenever I read stuff like this, I wish I was back in school so that I knew the scoop from a student's point of view. I can contest to the fact that it's never quite the full story once it hits the news.
I first heard about it from the facebook group the Jagwire editors set up. So far it sounds like a huge overreaction from the Puyallup School District, and an inept adviser. The whole purpose of school papers needing one is to make sure they don't do anything that could get them in this kind of trouble in the first place. Then the adviser takes the heat for the students, because it's their responsibility. Even my adviser for the Pacer Times thinks this is crap.
