Thank you so much! I love these two and how very... fucked up they are. I just can't imagine their saga any other way; it's gotta be rocky and raw. So, I'm glad you enjoyed my take!
IT IS SO NICE TO SEE YOU ON MY FLIST AGAIN, I'm super glad you're back and that you had a good time!
(ALSO I am going to need you to start watching Rookie Blue immediately as you are the queen of amazingly angsty cop fic and I am JONESING, so we should negotiate some kind of trade.)
OH, HELLO FRIENDFACE! I'm prety glad I'm back too. London is expennnnsive!
Okay, no. No, no, no. Not again, you will NOT do this to me again. Please... don't make me start another show! Why wasn't The Good Wife enough for you!? WHY!?
2. Holy fucking crap. Do you know how to write or what? This is so real...so amazing and heated and fraught with pain and doubt and love, love, love and the inevitability of love. This:
“Tonks...”
“You. Just you, please.” Suddenly her hair morphs, green to pink to a deep blue; she feels it in her bones, is helpless to stop it. “Remus, I know this isn’t... I didn’t mean for this to happen. Whatever you think, I just-”
But his hands are buried in her hair, deep, and he’s kissing her hard. So hard. Almost too hard. Yet she accepts it, grips him around the shoulders like a vice and takes all he has to give. Perhaps later he’ll blame this on his animal instinct, as the full moon is only three days away or perhaps he won’t say at all.
Thank you! It was wonderful! I saw so much of the cities just walking around. It was lovely!
Gah, so glad you enjoyed this. I'm feeling all angsty lately and that generally does not lend well to Parks and Recreation fic. I've been feeling so much for these two characters that I want to write more and more and more, but there's something holding me back. I feel like because it's "all over" that, idk. I'm being strange.
I, too, have my complaints about the film (but no film adapted from such an epic book series would be any better), but at least it was no awful, awful fail of the Order of the Phoenix film. In fact, I really loved this one. I thought this was the best adaptation of all of them (my complaints are really pretty minor), and I just...yes, so emotional throughout. Not because of it ending or anything; I didn't get into Harry Potter until I already graduated from college, so memories of my youth aren't fading here. But I love the world so much, and when it's portrayed visually like that, I dive into it in a way I don't always do. So I was also absolutely destroyed. Just...in tears from the part when the teachers were putting up protective charms around the school. I lost it then and I never really got it back together. LOL But the part I really wanted to see, the part I wanted so, so desperately to see done well, was the whole Snape thing, the backstory and the flashbacks. And, in my opinion, the film nailed it. Just...nailed it
( ... )
Oh my goodness, there was so much fail with the OotP film. I don't even know where to begin with that one. UGH. Personally, I thought the first film was the best adaptation of all of them, seeing as they cut very, very little out. But, whaddya gonna do. Book to movie is difficult.
The Snape portion was incredibly, absolutely perfect. I can't imagine anyone having played that role better.
Wow, beautiful writing, so much pain and emotion and uncertainty and misunderstanding and awkward getting together. I never really understood Remus/Tonks before, but you've helped me see it here. Bravo!
Thank you so much! These two, you so wish they could have a happy ending, that things would be easy from time to time, but you know that's just not the case. So much suffering with these two. Maybe that's why I enjoy writing them so much? Heh.
Thank you again for taking the time to read and review! I really appreciate it!
