How very appropriate that you should post this now! What a great ghost story! I love how you wove your own family lore into it, and the flavor of Louisiana. Lovely!

I thought about the irony as I was posting this, waiting for Hurricane Irene to arrive in my neck of the woods. Big surprise this morning - she'd tossed my neighbour's trampoline right over their 24-foot pool (surrounded by a 6-1/2-foot fence) into my backyard! No damage to their pool or either of our houses, although what was left of the trampoline was pretty much unrecognizable.

Glad you enjoyed the fic. And you know, I haven't been a kid for, a-hem, a few years now, but if someone handed me a tin tray, I'd go stair sledding in a heart-beat! *g*
