this is so hard...everyone's looking at ways to stay afloat...and each of us has to "budget" how we do it, both in terms of expenses from a monetary side and a time side.
if you can stand watching your shows on dvd after they're released, getting rid of cable could be the way to go...it seems as if your online tribal warfare is your preferred pastime, so if it came down to losing DSL or cable, I agree that would be the way to go.
From an idealistic perspective, working with prosperity means to act "as if"...and would dictate not cutting back on anything, trusting that the Universe will deliver the resources to pay for it all...from a "realistic" perspective, it is difficult to see anything but cutting back as a solution.
But working with prosperity issues (as we've discussed, and I have those issues as part of my journey) also includes continuing to work on the income portion as well...taking advantage of the creative talents in sewing, crafting, and gardening will be important for you too.
A number of the good TV shows (I think lost is one of them) post their current episode within a day or two of airing on the internet. We've caught missed lost episodes that way before (assuming your internet & computer are good for streaming video.) Just look at the network they are aired on and follow the links. :)
