I also find it hard to fit in where my lifestyle is concerned. I am bisexual which even among gay people at large is looked down upon as I get the 'make a choice' bullshit from both sides more than you can know. I also get told that I am bi for 'the dates/sex' and so forth. I have also been told by heathens that polyamory is 'untrothful' which if you have a committed non-monogamous relationship I don't see how that can be as your troth is what it is within the relationship not by the outer standards of those people. But yeah. I have become more outwardly conservative as time has gone by which says a lot actually. Those in Kindred of the Nine Worlds are very accepting of alternative lifestyles. We have a couple of bi women(one is in a monogamous relationship though) a lesbian couple and of course me. As well as a more traditionally oriented family. GAK is very accepting overall which was part of what drew me to it. But, the fact is that it is true, in Greater Heathenry 'keeping your head down' is encouraged a lot and I for one am not

If the gods are happy with you and your ancestors are happy with you, then who cares what somebody with personal issues thinks? If somebody cannot respect you as an honourable and upstanding person, then that is their problem and not yours.
I think you're being introspective because the philosophy class has been doing its job; because starting the new kindred requires you to confront issues; because you usually are, although you have tended to sublimate it in gaming and thinking about fiction/movies; and possibly even because you've been getting some flak from people recently (remember, I'm not in The Troth and I'm not on Meadhall, but there is a typical winter season evaluation and expression thing going on, is my impression from what I do see).

There were multiple reasons why I didn't--one is that I'm still in "Minimize your gyðja activities" mode. Another is that you really only wanted reactions from close associates, particularly people who know you in The Troth
