The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California has ruled Proposition 8 as unconstitutional.

I just saw it on my dwircle! I'm reading skimming the ruling (it's looong) and doing a happy dance :)

And not just California! This is a federal ruling, so if it's upheld on appeal it'll apply to the WHOLE COUNTRY! Of course, that will take awhile to work its way through the courts, & who knows what the higher courts will say, but I'm just saying that so I won't jinx it by saying YAY!! I like it when my icon is appropriate! @>)
