Hello, Toronto!!! Hasn't it been a LOVELY MONDAY MORNING?? *falls over*
Yes. Sorry. I should show more compassion. More likely than not it was a jumper, and that just really sucks.
My sis and I got kicked off at Dufferin, waited as a half dozen crammed buses went by, then walked down to College. Waited as another half dozen more crammed streetcars went by, then walked east on College, hit a Starbucks, called a cab, then managed to squeeze onto a streetcar. Yay! Cancelled the cab, took the streetcar east to Church, got off and walked 15 mins to work.

In other news, I visited Chapters yesterday while waiting for my mom and sister to get out of their respective meetings. Took a peek at a few Harlequin romance novels, just to brush up on my purple prose. Oh dear, I remember now why I can't read these things. Why are the so-called "Alpha males" always sexist jerks? How can these women possibly find them attractive?
The one I was reading involved a high-powered suit getting a mild heart-attack, and his secretary taking on the role of nursemaid. The man acts like a spoiled four-year-old, attempts to circumvent his doctor's orders as well as his secretary's, all the while making ridiculously improbable sexual advances that would have me punching my boss in the face and calling HR. His secretary finds it all very frustrating, of course, but frustrating in a way that means she is CHARMED and OMG falling for his vulnerable ass. *headdesk*
Thankfully, writing Jared/Jensen for spn_harlequin means that if either boy starts acting like a friggin' asshole, the other guy will PUNCH HIM IN THE FACE. Or at least yell very loudly. See? This is how relationships are SUPPOSED to work. Mutual respect and violence. Yes. Hee. It's possible I'm still a little grumpy about my morning :)
